If you purchase Cadrail 9, be sure to un-install the demo prior to installing Cadrail 9.

Cadrail 9 Demo Requirements

You must have the following computer equipment to operate the Cadrail Version 9 application:

·      A  PC or compatible computer running Microsoft Windows Version 98, ME, 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, see more details...
·      A display monitor and graphics card running in SVGA resolution 800 x 600 pixels minimum with 16 colors (1024 x 768 or higher recommended). 3d graphics capability (for the 3d view only).
·      A mouse (center scroll wheel optional but recommended).
·      A hard disk drive with a minimum of 12 MB available (for Cadrail).
·      A CD-ROM disc drive (for optional CD).

To install the Cadrail 9 Demo application on your computer you need to download and install the following three items:

1.  First you must download and install the Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework.

2.  Next download and install Microsoft DirectX 9c for 3D viewing. You must have a video graphics card with 3d capabilities to use the 3D views in Cadrail (optional).

                        Download Microsoft DirectX 9c ( 34 mb) Free

If you have already installed items 1 or 2 on your
 computer you do not need to do it again.

You should refer to Microsoft.com for instructions
 on the above Microsoft products.

3.  Finally  Download and Install the Cadrail 9 Demo application.

How to Download the Files:

1. After clicking a download link above, you will be asked what to do with the file. Click the SAVE  button to save the file onto your hard drive.
2. When the Save As dialog appears, select a folder on your hard drive. Note the folder and file name so you can later locate the file and run it. It is best to use an empty folder on your system.

How to Install the Programs after Downloading:

1. After downloading the file, locate it in the folder you downloaded to (above), double click the file name to run it and begin Installation. Follow the additional instructions from the installation program.

To Un-Install the Demo

1. Select Settings-Control Panel on the Windows Start Menu.
2. Select the Add/Remove programs icon on the Control Panel dialog box (Vista users select Programs and Features).
3. Follow the additional Windows instructions on your screen.

Using the Demo

After installation on your computer, start the Cadrail application. Select Help Contents from the Help menu (or press the F1 key) for complete instructions.

You can start using Cadrail after you have run the setup program to install the application onto your computer. Start the Cadrail application as you do any Windows program.

 To Start Cadrail:

1. Click the Start button on the Windows Task Bar.

2. Select Programs, Sandia Software, Cadrail 9 Demo, Launch Cadrail 9 Demo from the menu.

The demo includes 1 track library and the tutor sample drawings. These are located in the My Documents/Cadrail 9 Drawings folder that was created when you installed Cadrail.

This document is included with the demo application. If you are installing the demo you do not need to download this file, It is only here for those that don't want to install the demo.
